Easy to Wed, the 1946 Edward Buzzell romantic marriage comedy ("Van Sings! Van Dances! Van Romances!";"MGM's big Technicolor musical!"; "From the screenplay 'Libeled Lady' by Murine Watkins, Howard Emmett Rogers and George Oppenheimer") starring Van Johnson ("He Sings! Dances! Romances!"), Esther Williams, Lucille Ball, Kennan Wynn, Cecil Kellaway, Carlos Ramirez, Ben Blue, and Ethel Smith (billed as "Ethel Smith at The Organ"). Note that this movie was a re-make of the 1936 movie "Libeled Lady", with Jean Harlow in the lead role, and they give credit to the earlier movie's screenplay on the poster.

Important Added Info: Note that this movie paper item (a 10 1/4" x 13" deluxe candid still) was at one time "authenticated" and "graded" by CGC, the famous authenticator of comic books. They gave it a grade of "very fine", and encased it in a mylar sleeve, with an informative strip, and three punch holes in the border. Of course, the CGC's grading system for movie paper is not our grading system, which is why our grade often is quite different than theirs! The person who purchased this deluxe still wanted to display it, and they cut open the slab, but they preserved it, in case a later owner would want to see what CGC graded it. It will be sent with the deluxe still to the winning bidder of this auction.
