Date Sold 6/25/2020Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Chapter #11 (Dangerous Secret) Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Edgar Rice Burroughs' Jungle Girl, the 1941 John English & William Witney jungle native tribe adventure serial ("A Republic Serial in 15 Chapters"; "Based on the famous novel 'Jungle Girl' by Edgar Rice Burroughs") starring Frances Gifford (in the title role as Nyoka Meredith, the Jungle Girl), Tom Neal, Gerald Mohr, Trevor Bardette, Eddie Acuff, Frank Lackteen, Tommy Cook, and Emil Van Horn (as the gorilla). Note that Ray 'Crash' Corrigan and Charles Gemora were two actors who played lots of gorillas in movies in the 1930s and 1940s. Emil Van Horn played around a dozen gorillas, and interestingly, that was all he did (no doubt he too owned a gorilla suit!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that it is a cliche of serials that someone often gets tied to a belt and fed to a buzz saw used to cut logs. This WAS done in several serials, but we have never auctioned a poster that shows an image with this! This lobby card shows a Tom Neal about to be cut in half! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair to good. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
