An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Montana, the 1950 Ray Enright cowboy western melodrama ("Their bullets riveted a new star to the flag!"; "New triumph from Warner Bros. in TECHNICOLOR"; "Based on a story by Ernest Haycox"; the old story of cattlemen vs sheep herders, with the cattlemen doing all they can to prevent the sheep from eating the grass their cattle need, but with a twist, because the lead sheep herder is an Australian who somehow ended up in Montana!) starring Errol Flynn, Alexis Smith, S.Z. Sakall, Douglas Kennedy, James Brown, and Ian MacDonald. Note that Errol Flynn was in fact Australian, and the script writers worked that into the plot, which allowed him to speak with an Australian accent (possibly for the first time in his movie career!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and tiny tears, tiny bits of paper loss, and darkening in parts of the vertical fold. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
