An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) Melody Time, the 1948 Clyde Geronimi & Wilfred Jackson Walt Disney animation animated cartoon family musical comedy ("Great New Technicolor Musical Comedy"; "Walt Disney's Great New Musical Comedy"; "For your all-time good time!"; "Walt Disney's New Hit Musical"; "They're here!"; a compilation of animated shorts featuring previously used Disney characters like Donald Duck, Pecos Bill, Little Toot, and others, and the cartoons have musical accompaniment similar to Fantasia and Make Mine Music) from Walt Disney featuring the voices of Roy Rogers (as himself), Dennis Day, The Andrews Sisters (Laverne, Maxene, and Patty Andrews), Frances Langford, Freddy Martin, Ethel Smith, Buddy Clark, Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians, Sons of the Pioneers, The Dinning Sisters, Jack Fina, Luana Patten, Bobby Driscoll, and Bob Nolan NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had a Spanish language title written in large dark letters over the original title. Otherwise, the poster was in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, with some fold wear and creases, smudges, and small tears in the borders. The person who restored the poster re-painted in the original title, and did a pretty nice job, but you get a sense that the poster has had restoration in the title area and in the yellow around it when looking at the poster.
