Carrol Naish (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Mikhail Rasumny, Fernando Alvarado, and Frank McHugh NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this script is the revised white draft from June 6, 1944 and the screenplay was written by Frank Butler. It has a lot of blue revision pages from 6-12-44, 6-26-44, and 7-13-44. It is in a presentation box that is the exact size of the script, but we feel certain that the box was created much later, surely by a collector who wanted to present it well. The spine of the box has a small label glued to it that reads "Steinbeck, John, A Medal for Benny, Film Script by Frank Butler". Condition: good to very good. It has a piece of paper taped to the front and back of the script, and the tape has yellowed (the paper was taped there so that the title could be written on the spine of the script). There are creases on the first and last pages and a small circular stain in the middle right of the first page. See our multiple images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this script.
