Note that this movie was originally intended to feature a "name" actress in the lead role (and have some or most of her ice skating performed by a stunt double). But it became apparent that this would not work, so the producers found Lynn-Holly Johnson, who was performing in the Ice Capades, and she was hired. After this movie, she had an ice skating cameo in the James Bond movie "For Your Eyes Only", and since then, she has had several more movie and TV appearances.
