An Original 1946 (from the first release of this movie in England) Vintage Theatrical Folded British Quad Movie Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures 29 1/4" x 39" [74 x 99 cm]) (Learn More) Ben Ames Williams' Leave Her To Heaven, the classic 1945 John M. Stahl mental illness romantic murder crime film noir ("For love she would give anything... Even her life... Or destroy anything... Even the life of another!"; "What kind of woman can you be... with no standards but your own desires!"; "Ben Ames Williams' dramatic best-seller of a woman who committed the deadliest of the seven deadly sins!"; "Based on the Novel by Ben Ames Williams"; about a man who marries a beautiful woman, but she proves to be not only insanely jealous, but homicidal as well!) starring Gene Tierney (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Cornel Wilde, Jeanne Crain, Vincent Price, Mary Philips, Ray Collins, Gene Lockhart, Reed Hadley, Darryl Hickman, Chill Wills, and Kay Riley (in an uncredited role as "Danny's Nurse") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster measures 29 1/4" x 39" [74 x 99 cm], but it in no way appears to be trimmed. It was folded, and if it were trimmed, the trimming would have occurred prior to folding, which seems highly unlikely! Therefore, we suspect that the poster was simply made slightly smaller (we can't explain why that would be). But please note that this poster does measure shorter than a standard 30x40 quad, so bear that in mind before placing a bid on this extremely rare poster (we have never auctioned it before). Note that this is one of several British quads that were consigned to us by a man who has worked in the film industry for many years. A long time ago, he acquired these British quads when he worked with 20th Century-Fox, and he has kept them carefully stored for many years, which accounts for some of them being in wonderful condition. He previously consigned some quads two years ago, and now he has returned with a few more! Anyone who collects British quads knows how rare it is to find ones from the 1950s in any condition, and to find them in at all nice condition almost never happens. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good to fine. The poster measures slightly shorter in each direction, but we do not believe it was trimmed (see above). The poster was folded and there is very minor wear on the folds, with 2" of separation at the bottom of the right vertical fold. There are a few faint creases around the edges. Otherwise, the poster is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
