An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Lady in Ermine, the 1927 James Flood silent Austria Italy historical infidelity romantic melodrama ("From the famous operetta by Rudolph Schanzer & Ernest Welisch"; a very clever story of an Italian Count and his wife living in a castle, where her grandmother once slept with a leader of the enemy so that her husband would not be executed, but when the husband found out, he killed her!; back in the present day, which was 1810, the Count goes off to war and the Austrian enemy occupies his home, and when the Count returns, he is arrested and ordered to be executed, and his wife tells the enemy leader about her grandmother and offers to make the same deal with him, and the movie ends with her going to him clad only in ermine!) starring Corinne Griffith, Einar Hanson, Ward Crane, Francis X. Bushman, and Jane Keckley. Note that the movie was remade in 1948 by Ernst Lubitsch with Betty Grable. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. The poster had tiny paper loss at the top crossfold and separation and a few tiny tears and tiny dots of paper loss on parts of some foldlines. There were some tears and stains in the blank borders.
