An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) By Candlelight, the 1933 James Whale mistaken identity romantic comedy ("From the great stage success by Seigfried Geyer"; a forgotten but apparently excellent pre-Code romantic comedy with a valet to a Count posing as the Count to win a beautiful lady who he thinks is a Countess, but actually, she is the maid of the Countess) starring Elissa Landi, Paul Lukas, Nils Asther, Esther Ralston, Dorothy Revier, Lawrence Grant, Warburton Gamble, and Lois January. Note that this movie was directed by James Whale, who is of course far better known for his direction of Universal horror classics, but this movie makes one wish he had directed more romantic comedies! Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
