Brannon, & Harry Keller science fiction (sci-fi) outer space serial ("Commando Cody in his amazing space adventures"; "Sky Marshall [sic] of the Universe"; "Written by Ronald Davidson") starring Judd Holdren (in the title role as "Commando Cody"; billed on some items as "Judd Holden"), Aline Towne, William Shallert, Richard Crane, Grant Withers, Joanne Jordan, and Dale Van Sickel. Note that this character was in a serial the previous year called "Radar Men From the Moon", but in that serial he was played by George Wallace. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "stock" poster created by Republic Pictures for use for all of the chapters of their "Commando Cody" series. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank rectangle in the bottom right. They would be sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, and they could paste in each chapter title snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Also, note that a knowledgeable collector believes that Glenn Cravath created the art for this item. However, we cannot be 100% certain. If anyone has definitive proof such as signed original art, please e-mail us and we will post it here. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny bits of paper loss in the vertical fold between the top and bottom crossfolds, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. It had small paper loss in the top right blank corner. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but the restorer did not bother to replace the tiny missing paper in the top right blank corner, surely reasoning that it will not show when the poster is framed.
