Note that Alfred Hitchcock used the two taglines "The birds is coming!" and "The birds is here!" on several different types of advertising for this movie, no doubt because he thought it was funny that while it is technically grammatically correct when referring to the movie, they "sound wrong"! The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some creases, scuffs, and tiny areas of paper loss on parts of some foldlines. There were pinholes, small tears, tiny areas of paper loss, and faint smudges around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was quite nicely backed, and it displays well, but you can see very slight signs of the above defects. Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
