Important Added Info: Note that, immediately after World War II, the U.S. occupied Japan and part of Germany, and many American movies were shown in both countries between 1945 and the end of the occupation. Most of the Japanese posters we have seen from that period and many of the German posters and programs from the same period have a "Motion Picture Export Association" (MPEA) circular printed logo on the poster or program, and apparently this was a program run in conjunction with the U.S. government. Since there were many U.S. servicemen in Japan and Germany at this time, many of these posters and programs have the title written in both Japanese (or German) and in English. Note also that this Japanese B3 poster measures 13" x 19 3/4" [33 x 50 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster has darkened and it has water staining scattered throughout (see our image). There are some creases and tears of varying lengths (generally 1" or less but some are larger) along portions of some edges and several are repaired with tape from the back. There is much pencil drawing on back. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid and please do not bid unless you can accept the defects described above, or you are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
