Italian neo-realism pimp-and-his-prostitute romantic melodrama (about a pimp who lives off of a prostitute, but she is arrested, and he meets a beautiful innocent young female worker, and he wants to make her a prostitute as well, but he decides to try to reform and support her instead, with tragic consequences) starring Franco Citti (in the title role as Vittorio 'Accattone' Cataldi), Franca Pasut, Silvana Corsini, Paola Guidi, and Adriana Asti. There are tiny tears across the bottom edge of the poster that have been repaired with small pieces of conservation tape from the back.
