Important Added Info: Note that our consignor worked at a major media company in 1969, when many of the original cels and drawings from this Beatles movie were shrink-wrapped and sold in stores including Hallmark. Naturally, some of the cels were more interesting than others, and some did not have much color or only featured very small characters. Some of those cels sold commercially had certificates of authenticity under the shrink wrap on the back with a round gold foil sticker which stated "ONE OF A KIND ORIGINAL ART From The Full Length Cartoon Feature The Beatles Yellow Submarine - A Collectors Treasure". Another example of that sticker was put on the front of the cel in the bottom right corner on top of the shrink wrap. Our consignor received this cel (which has a significantly larger and more colorful image than the three other cels from this movie we have previously auctioned) as a gift from a friend connected to the movie in 1969, and he has saved it ever since until consigning it to us here! Condition: very good. There are faint red paint stains above the leg of the man at right and faint black stains above the tip of his shoe. Otherwise, the cel appears to be in excellent condition. We say "appears to be" because it is in its original shrink wrap from many years ago, and we don't want to open it. Learn More about condition grades
