An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Clown, the 1953 Robert Z. Leonard riches-to-rags alcoholic circus clown father-and-adoring-son family relationship melodrama ("Story by Francis Marion"; "From an adaptation by Leonard Praskins"; similar to "The Champ", but with a clown in place of a boxer) starring Red Skelton (in the title role), Jane Greer, Tim Considine, Loring Smith, and Philip Ober NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: good to very good. Someone gouged out a small part of the cardboard in the top left corner, but it does not affect the glass. There is some frosting on the face of the glass. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Learn More about condition grades
