He is best remembered for his starring role in Forbidden Planet, and although he was a serious actor for decades, he resurfaced in the 1980s with a comic turn in Airplane (and many other films after including Mel Brooks' Dracula: Dead and Loving It, Spy Hard, Wrongfully Accused, Scary Movies 3 and 4, and more). He passed away in 2010 at the age of 84. A joker until the end, his gravestone has the epitaph "Let 'er rip", which refers to his frequent pranks involving flatulence. Some of his other movies include: the Naked Gun series, Repossessed, and Creepshow Important Added Info: This album page has been personally autographed (signed) by Leslie Nielsen! It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Our consignor is a longtime collector and dealer. In the 1970s and 1980s, he wrote to stars and asked for autographed photos and index cards, and he also sometimes purchased signed items from other dealers. He does not have a certificate of authenticity for this item, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic.
