Your Home Front Reporter, the 1943 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster ("'What's the matter with our food anymore? Good heavens! I'd be better off in the Army! I understand they pamper soldiers'"; "'For days we struggled through the jungle - hungry and tired - but there wasn't a man who forgot how to grin.'"; "Think soldiers are pampered do you?") published by The American People Facing Wartime Problems to promote a radio program starring Fletcher Wiley (with songs by Frank Parker, Eleanor Steber and David Broekman's Orchestra) which was sponsored by Owens Illinois Glass Company and featured on CBS radio. Your Home Front Reporter offered household tips (such as creative menus to deal with wartime rationing, home economics help, sewing, and car maintenance), musical guests, war news and more. Note that this poster features art of a Home Front man complaining to his wife about food shortages, while soldiers face real trials and tribulations in the jungle!
