Why had she chosen The Easiest Way"; "A Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer ALL TALKING Picture"; "The fearless picture from the stage hit"; "Based on the play by Eugene Walter"; a pre-Code movie about a beautiful poor young girl who literally sleeps her way to success, having an affair with the owner of a modeling agency; she becomes engaged to a South American heir to a fortune, but he leaves town on business, and she returns to her former lover; apparently there are two different versions of this movie!; in one, there is a happy ending, and in the other, it ends tragically. Apparently, this was one of those scandalous pre-Code movies which was a big part of why the code came into existence!) starring Constance Bennett, Robert Montgomery, Adolphe Menjou, Anita Page, Marjorie Rambeau, and Clark Gable (his second credited role after "The Painted Desert", made the same year!)
