An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Dave Clark Five, the 1965 musical short about the classic rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) group. Note that this poster is rare, as it is unlikely that many theaters ordered any posters for a short subject they were showing! Also, this poster may be advertising the short "Hits in Action", which was directed by Dave Clark in 1966. However, the poster does not use that title, and the copyright date is 1964 with a 1965 NSS number. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The theater that used this poster was also showing something with The Rolling Stones, and so they wrote that information in the top right orange background area (but we suspect that the person doing the writing may have been somewhat "stoned", because he only got to write "STON" before he ran out of space!). The poster also had a tape stain on the "C" of "Clark" in the title, tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, and pinholes and tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
