Date Sold 5/25/2014 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 136 German cigarette cards contained in an album from 1936 (we know because it has a printed copyright date). There is an index to all the cards printed on the first two pages. The album contains many pages designed to have the cigarette cards glued onto the empty spots (some pages seven and some pages eight) and the album is entirely filled. Note that in between the pages, there are four full-page black & white images from German movies of the time (we have pictured one of them). The person who owned this album likely purchased it empty and then added the cigarette cards, or it is possible that it was sold with the cards in it. All of the cards are glued in firmly, but certainly could be removed by a talented amateur or a professional, or of course, they could be left exactly as they are. Measurements: 9 1/4" x 12 1/4"Condition: very good. The person who assembled the album wrote their name, address, and date very neatly on the bottom of the title page. A few of the cards have come loose, but they are present. Otherwise, the album is in nice condition, with some rippling on the pages (caused by the cards being glued in), and also some tiny dot stains caused by the glue, but overall, it is in nice condition and it is in its original mailing carton.
