An Undated (probably 1960s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded Military One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Invisible Man, the classic 1933 James Whale (billed as "James Whale who directed Frankenstein") Universal fantasy horror thriller ("Catch me if you can!"; "Carl Laemmle presents H.G. Wells' Fantastic Sensation"; "Screen play by R.C. Sheriff"; based on the novel by H.G. Wells; about a man who invents a potion that makes him invisible, but it also makes him go insane) starring Gloria Stuart, Claude Rains (in the title role as the Invisible Man), William Harrigan, Dudley Digges, Una O'Connor, Henry Travers, Forrester Harvey, and E.E. Clive NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a military one-sheet. Military one-sheets were printed at the same time as the regular U.S. one-sheets. They were made to be used on U.S. military installations. Sometimes the poster has small writing at the bottom that says "For Distribution and Use at U.S. Military Establishments Only", and sometimes they just have "Litho in U.S.A." in small letters in the lower right. This is one of the poster that says "Printed in U.S.A.". Condition: good to very good. The poster was separating with tiny paper loss at the top and bottom crossfolds and someone put small pieces of clear tape on the back of those areas, and also on the back of pinholes that were around the edges of the poster and a few places where there were either pinholes or separation within the image. There are faint brown stains and creases around the edges of the poster and some faint ink transfer within the image (caused by the poster being folded too quickly after it was printed). There is a fair amount of pen writing on the back of the portion of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded. In spite of all of the above pretty minor defects, the poster displays pretty nicely just as it is, and certainly, it can be linenbacked and with a small amount of restoration, it will look fantastic!
