He was (along with Charlie Chaplin) one of the most famous comedian in silent movies, and he continued to make sound movies as well. He has too many wonderful movies to list, but some of his movies include: The General, Sherlock Jr., The Cameraman, and he made a very memorable final cameo appearance in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. He passed away in 1966 at the age of 70 AND Paul Whiteman was the leader of the big band Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra from the 1920s to the 1950s. He also hosted three of his own TV series and appeared in more than half a dozen movies. His music has appeared in movies such as Rhapsody in Blue, The King of Jazz, Strike Up the Band, and the Fabulous Dorseys. Whiteman passed away in 1967 at the age of 77 AND Rudy Vallee was a famous band leader and actor from the 1930s through the 1950s and then took a few film roles in the 1960s and 1970s, and he added much to those movies, and seeing them makes you wish he had done more of them! Some of his best remembered movies include: The Palm Beach Story, Unfaithfully Yours, I Remember Mama, The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer, and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
