This circa 1930s window card ("Win a new car! Absolutely Free!"; "Starting May 12th 13th and 14th and every 3rd week thereafter"; "Patronize the merchants below"; "Get free chances with your purchases!") is promoting a "Five Car Giveaway" at the State Paramount Time Theatre. Can someone please tell me how in the world movie theaters could give away five free cars? Or were promotions in the 1930s just as deceptive as they are nowadays?. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this window card, and we auctioned two examples of that same card (the last time was 17 years ago). That same card has been reconsigned to us once again, so this is STILL the only example we have ever auctioned!
