The Scarlet Letter, the 1926 Victor Sjostrom silent Puritan Boston Massachusetts historical marriage adultery infidelity melodrama ("Upon her breast the scarlet brand of shame but in her soul a love that nought could quench!"; "From the famous novel by Nathaniel Hawthorne") starring Lillian Gish (as Hester Prynne), Lars Hanson (as Arthur Dimmesdale), Henry B. Walthall (as Roger Prynne), Karl Dane, William H. Tooker, and Joyce Coad (a Swedish child actress who appeared in a dozen movies from 1926 to 1934, and then retired at the age of 17).

Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this window card, and those were 32 years ago and 13 years ago!

Condition: fair to good. The card has darkened considerably throughout and it has pinholes around the edges and is fragile. Obviously, this extremely rare window card can be restored, but bear the above in mind before bidding.
