An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Son of Lassie, the 1945 S. Sylvan Simon World War II (WWII) canine Collie dog family melodrama ("MGM's NEW Adventure in Technicolor"; "A dramatic escape from occupied France!"; "Based on some characters from the book 'Lassie Come Home' by Eric Knight"; based on the characters created by Eric Knight in his novel Lassie, but not from one of his books) starring Peter Lawford, Donald Crisp, June Lockhart, Nigel Bruce, William Severn (billed as "William 'Billy' Severn"), Leon Ames, Donald Curtis, Niles Asther, Robert Lewis, and Pal (in a dual role as both Lassie and "Laddie" [in the title role as the son of Lassie!]). Note that the Lassie TV show started in 1954 with Jan Clayton as the mother. In 1958, Lassie's family was changed, and Cloris Leachman was brought in as the new mother for one season, and then June Lockhart, who had starred in this Lassie movie 13 years before, became yet another new mother to Lassie, and she played that role until 1964, when she left to become the mother in Lost in Space!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: fair. The poster is very brittle and difficult to open and handle, and there is much tattering, tearing, and some paper loss along the foldlines and around the edges (a few areas repaired with tape from the back). There are some creases and smudges scattered throughout the poster (more so at lower right and along the foldlines and edges).
