In the Palace of the King, the 1923 Emmett J. Flynn silent romantic love triangle brothers Spain royalty epic ("Gigantic!"; "Magical!"; "Sumptuous!"; "Thrilling!"; based on the story "by F. Marion Crawford"; "Written for the screen by June Mathis"; about King Philip of Spain and his more popular brother, and a girl the brother loves; after much scheming and attempted murder, everything works out in the end) starring Blanche Sweet, Hobart Bosworth, Pauline Starke, Edmund Lowe, and Sam De Grasse. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had many stains and scattered areas of paper loss in the top quarter. There was an extra horizontal fold just above the regular middle fold, with tears and tiny areas of paper loss on parts of many foldlines. There were tears and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed considering its many defects, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster.
