Note that director Dave O'Brien was better known as Dave 'Tex' O'Brien, and he appeared in many B-westerns as an actor. In the mid-1940s, as his western career wound down, he turned to directing (and providing voices for) many animated shorts, including lots of Pete Smith Specialties!
