An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Seven Days' Leave, the 1930 Richard Wallace World War I (WWI) Scotland military family relationship melodrama ("It's different! It's novel! It's unusual!"; based on the play 'The Old Lady Shows Her Medals' by J.M. Barrie; a sentimental story of an old lady who pretends to be a widow, but who was never married, and she writes to a soldier who has the same last name as her, and she tells her friends he is her son, but when he has a pass, he comes to visit her, and he goes along with the pretense, because he has no family either) starring Gary Cooper, Beryl Mercer, Daisy Belmore, Nora Cecil, and Tempe Pigott NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we previously auctioned one example of this glass slide, and that was 19 years ago! Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. There is slight loss in the left black border, but it does not affect the image. Learn More about condition grades
