Cynara, the 1932 King Vidor lawyer legal infidelity romantic love triangle melodrama (based on the novel by Robert Brown; about a successful married lawyer who has a fling with a shop girl; he realizes he loves his wife more and he breaks up with the shop girl, but she commits suicide and he is blamed for her death; he is tried for causing her death, and he refuses to hurt her reputation by telling the truth about her, and his career is ruined, but at the end, his wife joins him on a ship taking him to a new life) starring Ronald Colman, Kay Francis, Phyllis Barry, Henry Stephenson, Viva Tattersall, and Florine McKinney
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two lobby cards from the first release of this movie, and only one example of this title card (10 years ago)!

Note that Kay Francis was becoming a major star, and she was given a large credit under the title, but apparently the studio did not want to picture the "bad woman" that she played in the movie, and so long suffering wife Phyllis Barry is pictured with Colman on this title card instead! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: fair. There is staining throughout the card and two areas of paper loss in the left blank border. There is a tiny piece of tape in each corner and paper remnants attached to the back. Please look at our super-sized images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this card.
