An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Robin Hood, the 1922 Allan Dwan silent medieval romantic fantasy adventure melodrama ("Story by Elton Thomas"; based on ancient English legends) starring Douglas Fairbanks Sr. (in the title role as Robin Hood), Alan Hale Sr. (as Little John), Wallace Beery (as King Richard the Lion-Hearted), Sam De Grasse (as Prince John), Enid Bennett (as Lady Marian), William Lowery (as the Sheriff of Nottingham), Willard Louis (as Friar Tuck) and Bud Geary (as Will Scarlett). Of course, this movie was remade in 1938 with Errol Flynn in the lead role, and the movie was retitled to "The Adventures of Robin Hood" (and Alan Hale Sr. amazingly reprises his role of Little John, 16 years after the first time he played the role). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good to fine.
