An Original Vintage Stage Play Souvenir Program Book (measures 9" x 12" [23 x 30 cm]; 13 pages) (Learn More) Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, the 1964 Peter Conlow stage play production (based on the novel by Joseph Fields and Anita Loos) starring Jayne Mansfiled, Mickey Hargitay, Kellie Brytt, Robert Gallagher, and Laurence Stith. Note that as Jayne Mansfield's career was winding down, someone came up with the wacky idea of having her star in the stage version of a movie that Marilyn Monroe made famous, and they even had her bodybuilder husband play the second lead! She toured in small towns with both this play and her version of Bus Stop (that became another Marilyn Monroe film), and they alternated between the two plays.
