An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) The Fighting President, the 1933 political biographical documentary ("The timeliest motion picture of all time"; about the life of Franklin D. Roosevelt, up to and including his first month as President of the United States) narrated by Edwin C. Hill. This movie was filmed just one month after FDR took office, and through newsreel footage, this feature-length documentary covers his entire life to that point, and shows his inauguration, plus what occurred during his first month in office. The media shielded Roosevelt's disability from the public, and in this movie, he is shown swimming in his pool at home, which he did in fact do, but of course, they were being misleading by showing that in the movie without focusing on his disability! If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this title is almost never offered for sale or at auction. We have only auctioned a single one-sheet in all our years of auctioning until we received this three-sheet! Also note that this three-sheet was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Also note that the theater that used this poster glued the pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used posters in multiple pieces). Condition: good to very good. The theater that used this poster glued the pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used posters in multiple pieces). There is paper loss in the top left corner and the poster was attached to a wall with small pieces of brown paper tape on the reverse of the corners. There are small tears and tiny areas of paper loss on parts of some folds and in the borders, with separation on parts of some folds. After a simple linenbacking, this extremely rare (likely unique) poster will look incredible! Learn More about condition grades
