The Great K and A Train Robbery, the 1926 Lewis Seiler silent railroad detective cowboy western ("The foremost western thriller of the greatest western star"' "From Paul Leicester Ford's novel"; about a detective who is called in to solve a series of train robberies, and he poses as a masked outlaw in order to join the gang and arrest them!) starring Tom Mix, Tony ("the wonder horse"), Dorothy Dwan, Will Walling, Harry Gripp (billed as "Harry Grippe"), and John Wayne (who had a bit part in the movie and was also the property boy).
