Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this window card, and that was 13 years ago! Also, note that our consignor purchased this window card at an auction in London of some of David Gest's posters! Mr. Gest was a very long time close friend of Michael Jackson and was for a time married to Liza Minelli, and he was a serious collector of movie posters and related memorabilia since the 1980s! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The window card had darkening around the edges, more so down the right side. Otherwise, it was in pretty nice condition. The person who owned the card had it mounted to linen with no excess, and they clearly did so for a conservation purpose, because no restoration was performed. The new owner can either display this rare window card exactly as it is, or certainly, one could have a restorer perform touch up to the border staining, and it would not be necessary to re-back the card.
