1,000,000 B.C., the 1940 Hal Roach & Hal Roach Jr. science fiction prehistoric caveman dinosaur fantasy romantic adventure thriller ("Actual living animals of a bygone age recreated and filmed by a new secret process!"; "See the most exciting adventure in a million years!"; "What was love like a million years ago?"; "Greatest Thrills on earth... Wonders Never Before Beheld by Man. The Amazing Spectacle of the World at the Dawn of Time!"; "See: Giant Wooly Mammoths Wreak Havoc... Destruction in Mad Stampede"; produced by Hal Roach & D.W. Griffith) starring Victor Mature, Carole Landis (as "Loana, the Golden One"), Lon Chaney Jr., John Hubbard, and Nigel De Brulier. Note that D.W. Griffith was originally supposed to direct this film but passed the reins to Roach and his son. He then worked as a producer but had his named removed due to a disagreement with Roach.

We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best eight stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing eight of the stills.

Condition: very good. The still pictured second from top left has smudges and several pairs of staple holes scattered throughout. The other stills are in pretty nice condition!
