Date Sold 8/3/2021Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Day of the Woman (also released as "I Spit on Your Grave" and "I Hate Your Guts"), the 1978 Meir Zarchi rape revenge horror thriller ("This woman has just cut, chopped, broken, and burned five men beyond recognition... but no jury in America would ever convict her!"; "...an act of revenge!"; "After it was all over... She waited... Then she struck back in a way only a woman can!"; "'Day of the Woman'... the ultimate day of terror") starring Camille Keaton, Eron Tabor, Richard Pace, Anthony Nichols, Gunter Kleemann, Alexis Magnotti, and Tammy Zarchi. Note that the woman with her back turned on the one-sheet poster is Demi Moore at the age of 16, right at the beginning of her modeling career! Also note that this movie had a very limited first release as "Day of the Woman" by Cinemagic Pictures, and until June 2017, we had never personally seen ANY item with that title, and we were wondering if the images we had seen on the Internet were not from an intended but cancelled release. However, in June 2017, we were consigned the one-sheet from the release as "Day of the Woman", so we know now that one-sheets were actually printed, but we still can't say for certain how many theaters it might have played at (and we were reconsigned that same one-sheet in 2024, so as of that date, it was still the only example of the poster we have ever auctioned). We also wonder about the supposed alternate title "I Hate Your Guts", which IMDB lists for this movie. We think that is simply a mistake, because while we have seen posters with that title, we think that are from re-releases of the 1959 movie of the same title, and we have never seen a poster with that title from this 1978 version. If anyone knows more about any of this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster has very minor fold and border wear. There are a few faint smudges at lower left in a blank area (see our image) but otherwise it is otherwise in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
