eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 3p1609 HUMMING BIRD herald 1924 Gloria Swanson as leader of French Apache gang, ultra rare! Date Sold 1/17/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 3 1/2" x 5" [9 x 13 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) The Humming Bird, the 1924 Sidney Olcott silent France World War I (WWI) crime romantic melodrama ("From the play by Maude Fulton"; a really wild story of Swanson as the head of a group of French Apache criminals; she falls for an American reporter who enlists when World War I breaks out, and she talks her entire gang into fighting the Germans!) starring Gloria Swanson, Edmund Burns, William Ricciardi, Cesare Gravina, and Mario Majeroni. Note that nowadays the bird is referred to as a "hummingbird", but either it was two words back in 1924, or possibly it was a sort of play on words, because in the title it is clearly two words. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this movie is extremely rare. We have only previously auctioned five lobby cards and a single still from this movie, and NO other movie paper of any kind, until we received this herald! Condition: very good.
