An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Nat King Cole/Russ Morgan and His Orchestra, the 1953 3-D (3D; 3-Dimension) musical band featurette ("Hollywood's First Musical Featurette"; "In 3-Dimension") featuring Nat King Cole, Russ Morgan and His Orchestra, "with a sensational REVUE featuring" The Mar-Vels, The Gene Louis Dancers, and Joan Elms. Note that because of the then-current 3-D craze, this musical short was released in 3-D (we wonder if you saw Russ Morgan's trombone slide come off the screen and at you?). If anyone knows more about this short, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this movie was originally in 3-D. The studios created both 3D and 2D posters and lobby cards (the 2-D posters and lobby cards were for theaters that lacked the 3-D equipment). This poster is from the "3-D" release. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster had minor fold and border wear and some faint smudges in the solid background areas and in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
