eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 3g709 GLOBAL AFFAIR 3sh '64 wacky cartoon art of Bob Hope with sexy girls in baby carriage! Date Sold 11/25/2014Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) A Global Affair (released in other English-speaking countries as "Papa Playboy"), the 1964 Jack Arnold romantic comedy ("Girls of all nations want closer relations - in fact they want to be the mother of my child!"; "Bob's on the road to paternity... And the global girls want to show him the way!"; "Soviet Sonya: She won't take 'Nyet' for an answer!"; "Lovely Lisette finds Bob a soft touch!"; "A Japanese doll gets Bob in hot water!"; "Dolores shows it takes two to tangle!"; "Bob gets a taste of French pastry!") starring Bob Hope, Liselotte Pulver (billed as "Lilo Pulver as Sonya"), (and "co-starring as 'The Global Girls'") Michele Mercier, Elga Andersen, Yvonne De Carlo, Miiko Taka, Robert Sterling, Nehemiah Persoff, John McGiver, Jacques Bergerac, Mickey Shaughnessy, and Adlai Stevenson (U.S. politician as a "passerby"). Note that there are two versions of the one-sheet. Both posters are almost exactly the same, except for the credits at bottom left. On one, Lilo Pulver is identified simply as one of the "Global Girls", whereas on the other, she gets a larger separate credit that says "Lilo Pulver as Sonya"! No doubt, this was the result of some kind of contractual agreement Lilo Pulver had, which caused them to change her billing. Technically, I would say that the first poster described above is the very first release, while the second is a "revised" one-sheet, but I doubt many collectors would care about this distinction. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this three-sheet was printed in 3 sections designed to overlap. Note that the bottom piece of this poster is not as wide as the other two. But that piece has full NSS information stamped on the back with "BOTTOM SHT", and since we have seen a different bottom section that was the right size but has slightly different credits on it, we think that this slightly smaller piece was a corrective credits replacement piece, which was mailed to theaters, and whoever printed it did not pay attention, and it was made slightly the wrong size. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded, but it has little effect on the front, and otherwise, the poster is in nice condition.
