Lady and the Mob, the 1939 Benjamin Stoloff romantic crime corruption political comedy ("Quite a crew to play with, slay with or go gay with!"; "There's a laugh in every tear gas bomb this lady packs under her sables!"; "She's different! She's delightful! She's devastating!"; about a rich society lady who discovers that her dry cleaner pays "protection" money, and she gets an ex-gangster to help her, and she forms a "gang" that breaks up the protection racket, and she even ends up sending the mayor to jail for being corrupt!) starring Fay Bainter (billed as "Academy Award Winner"), Ida Lupino, Lee Bowman, Henry Armetta, and Warren Hymer. Note that Fay Bainter had won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for "Jezebel" the year before, and Columbia built this contrived comedy around her, and advertised her as "Academy Award Winner" to beef up the box office appeal!

There is light rippling and discoloration scattered in portions of the poster due to exposure to moisture and some of the moisture has caused portions of the folds to separate (partially repaired with tape from the back). Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid and please do not bid unless you can accept the defects described above, or you are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
