An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Argentinean Movie Poster (measures approximately 29" x 43") (Learn More) an Argentinean "stock" poster created by Columbia Pictures for use by Argentinean theaters showing re-releases of their 1930s Gene Autry movies in the 1940s. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank rectangle at bottom. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Important Added Info: This Argentinean poster measures approximately 29" x 43". Condition: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some creases and tears in the top 6" of the vertical foldline. There were some creases on the other folds and some minor border defects. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but you can see the restoration that was done at the bottom crossfold (but fortunately, it is in the blank box designed for information about the current movie being shown).
