Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. There were creases, smudges, small tears, and tiny areas of surface paper loss around the edges of the poster and smudges in the white background areas. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not at all distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
