An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Arkansas Traveler, the 1938 Alfred Santell Southern small town newspaper journalism comedy ("in a human story full of laughs and excitement!"; "How you'll laugh as Bob Burns!"; "Based on a story by Jack Cunningham"; about a small town newspaper owned by a kindly widow and the mysterious nameless traveler who comes to town and helps save the paper) starring Bob Burns, Fay Bainter, John Beal, Irvin S. Cobb, Jean Parker, Lyle Talbot, Dickie Moore, and Porter Hall. Note that the above tagline "How you'll laugh as Bob Burns!" is NOT a typo! That is exactly how it appeared on the poster. We imagine someone goofed in 1938 and that it should have read "How you'll laugh at Bob Burns!". Note that this movie has great similarities to the 1943 James Cagney movie Johnny Come Lately, but the two movies have entirely different writers credited. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
