Van Dyke romantic detective crime mystery comedy sequel ("All new! Their greatest laugh hit!"; "Their merriest hit! Mr. and Mrs. Thin Man have a B-A-B-Y!"; based on Dashiell Hammett's "The Farewell Murder"; the third of the very popular "Thin Man" movies; about Nick and Nora being contacted by a colonel who has been receiving threats from a man out of his past, and when the colonel is found murdered, the man is the obvious suspect, but Nick thinks it is too obvious and figures out who the real murderer is, while juggling their new baby, Nick Jr.) starring William Powell (as Nick Charles), Myrna Loy (as Nora Charles), Virginia Grey, Otto Kruger, C. Aubrey Smith, Ruth Hussey, Nat Pendleton, Patric Knowles, Tom Neal, Marjorie Main, William A. Poulson (as Nick Jr.), Asta (the dog), and Sheldon Leonard NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair. The card has a VERY unusual defect. The upper right is missing its reds, which affects a large portion of both Powell and Loy's faces. Looking at our image, you can clearly see where the red is missing. There are two possible explanations for how this occurred. One is that solely that portion of the card was exposed to sunlight and the reds faded, but if so, it did not affect any of the rest of the card. Another explanation would be that it is a printing defect, but again, only that portion of the card was affected by the printing defect. In addition to this very unusual defect, the card had some tiny pinholes and tiny bits of paper loss in the blank borders and a tiny pinhole in the baby's forehead and hair. It also had a scuff mark across the center of the "WELL" of "POWELL" at top center. Other than these exact defects, the card was in really nice condition. Someone performed restoration to the border defects, but did not attempt to address the unusual coloring defect described above. Certainly, a talented restorer could do paint restoration to Powell and Loy's faces to make this defect far less noticeable, or one could choose to display this card just as it is, since it still displays pretty well in spite of the defect. However, bear all of this in mind before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
