An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Rhapsody, the 1954 Charles Vidor romantic love triangle violinist musical melodrama ("MGM's Magnificent Drama of Music and Romance"; "Drama of Love... and Desire!"; "'I must possess the man I love - heart, body and soul!'"; "Based on the novel 'Maurice Guest' by Henry Handel Richardson") starring Elizabeth Taylor, Vittorio Gassman, John Ericson, Louis Calhern, Michael Chekhov, and Barbara Bates NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had paper loss at the crossfolds, with some tears and small paper loss on parts of several folds, and a long semi-circular tear in the blue background to the right of Taylor's hair, entering into the top and bottom of her hair. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
