An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Now or Never, the 1935 Bernard B. Ray (billed as "B.B. Ray") jewel thief mistaken identity crime thriller (about a man with the unusual, and incredibly dangerous occupation of posing as a "front" for people who transport expensive diamonds and jewelry; he pretends to carry the gems, thus luring away the attention of the potential thieves from the real courier; ) starring Richard Talmadge (billed as "The Dare Devil of the Screen Dick Talmadge"), Janet Chandler, Eddie Davis, Robert Walker, Otto Metzetti, Thomas Ricketts, and Victor Metz. Note that Richard Talmadge was born "Sylvester Alphonse Metz", and he was an acrobat with the Barnum and Bailey Circus. He got a job in Hollywood as a stuntman for Douglas Fairbanks Sr., and then graduated to starring in movies, always performing lots of stunts. He had two acrobat brothers, Otto Metzetti and Victor Metz, who appeared with him in some of his movies. Note that the Robert Walker credited above was NOT the Robert Walker who starred in the 1940s and 1950s, but a different Robert Walker who started making movies in 1913, and he appeared in an amazing 255 movies through 1953, a 40 year span, but most of those were westerns, and a lot of them were very minor roles, often uncredited. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some foldlines. It had many pinholes, tears, and stains around the edges, with a few pinholes scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but at some point, it became water stained in the bottom right corner, extending into the bottom right corner of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
