Complete Set of 8 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Ensign Pulver, the 1964 Joshua Logan World War II (WWII) military Navy Naval seafaring comedy sequel ("So here's to Ensign Pulver... And his wacky war on the Captain... And his girlie paradise in the Pacific... And his slingshot that nearly scuttled the whole fleet."; "Following in the hilarious fun-steps of 'Mister Roberts'!"; "The man with the most original mind in the U.S. Navy ...and the greatest collection of pin-ups!"; "Based on a play by Thomas Heggen and Joshua Logan"; this movie was a sequel to the classic "Mister Roberts", but in that movie, the lead actor passes away at the end of the movie, which created a problem for the sequel; the Ensign Pulver character was funny in small doses in the original, but was painful to watch in this sequel, especially since Jack Lemmon wisely did not return, and neither did James Cagney, William Powell, or the other principals from the first movie!) starring Robert Walker (in the title role as Ensign Pulver), Burl Ives, Walter Matthau, Tommy Sands, Millie Perkins, Kay Medford, Larry Hagman, Gerald O'Loughlin, Al Freeman Jr., James Farentino, James Coco, Diana Sands, Peter Marshall, and Jack Nicholson (very young in this bit part!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. There is a Canadian censor stamp in each card (see below). There is smudging, tack holes, and/or minor staining in the borders.. There is a Canadian censor stamp in an unobtrusive part of each card in the right. Note that it is extremely time-consuming to individually describe the condition of each lobby card in a set of eight. Because of the large number of sets we sell, we will only note more significant defects in each individual card. We will NOT note every tiny border tear, stain, or pinhole. We provide an overview of the general condition of the cards above.
