An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Courting Trouble, the 1932 Leslie Pierce family relationship mother-in-law cross-dressing romantic slapstick comedy short (produced by Mack Sennett; a wacky story of a man who lives with his wife and mother-in-law, and both women dominate him, and he sneaks out, but is arrested, and the unsympathetic judge sentences him to wear women's clothing and do the housework, so he can see how his wife and mother-in-law feel!) starring Charles Murray (billed as "Charlie Murray"), Aggie Herring, Arthur Stone, Alice Ward, and Dorothy Granger. Note that this short was a shortened remake of the 1928 full-length Harry Langdon movie called "The Chaser"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this one-sheet! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had an extra vertical fold and some tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, with some small tears and tiny paper loss on parts of some folds, and some pinholes and smudges around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
