Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, the classic 1964 Stanley Kubrick (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) English Cold War anti-war fantasy satire ("The hot-line suspense comedy"; "EXPLODES with atomic laughter!"; "America and London acclaim Peter Sellers in the first comedy of the Nuclear Age!"; "Peter Sellers.. In 3 hilarious roles!"; "Based on the book 'Red Alert' by Peter George"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Peter Sellers (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; playing three roles: President Merkin Muffley, Group Captain Lionel Mandrake, and the title role of Dr. Strangelove), George C. Scott (as General Buck Turgidson), Sterling Hayden (as Brigadier General Jack D. Ripper), Keenan Wynn (as Colonel Bat Guano), Slim Pickens (as Major T.J. Important Added Info: Note that legend has it that this set from this classic movie was so convincing that when Ronald Reagan was elected President, the first thing he did was ask to be shown the "War Room", and he was very disappointed to learn that there was no such place in reality!
