Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been backed with rice paper, which is an alternate form of restoration that is similar to linenbacking, but involves backing the poster onto Japanese rice paper. It appears that it was done so in preparation to having the poster linenbacked, but that (for unknown reasons) the owner of this poster did not have the job finished, so the poster has solely been mounted on thin Japanese rice paper. Any talented restorer could certainly go ahead and linenback this poster (either using the current rice paper, or re-backing the poster onto different rice paper first), and after proper linenbacking and restoration to the poster's defects, it will look great! Please do not bid on this poster unless you have read the above carefully! Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 14 1/4" x 19 1/4" [36 x 49 cm]. Finally, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). The poster has been backed onto rice paper and there is some tattering and paper loss around the edges of the poster that was repaired when the poster was backed. There are light water stains in Ford's credit at upper left and there are some creases and scuff marks scattered throughout the poster. Learn More about condition grades
